Muslim Student Association

A place where everyone can go to be included

To feel like they belong

Growing up, I was the only Muslim girl in my classes

Instead of being an extrovert and making friends with people who weren’t ‘like’ me

I kept to myself

I wasn’t able to speak, to exist

When my friends and I decided to create MSA

I finally felt excited

Now that I’m a senior,

I can see myself in the underclassmen

I feel nostalgic of when I felt how they felt

Relieved that I can show them the shortcuts of that feeling

Of not belonging

Now we have a space

To learn about the religion we love so much

To relate to each other and make new friends
