When I think of the term coming of age I think of an aesthetically pleasing A24 movie or Netflix show. These movies and TV shows have really shaped teenagers' view on high school from a very young age, expecting an extremely different experience than what comes ahead. Most coming of age movies are about romance and finding the “one”.
