Finding balance between school and other life events can be very hard. But there are some things that help me to find balance literally and figuratively. That tool is yoga, yoga by definition means “A Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline, a part of which, including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, is widely practiced for health and relaxation.” A misconception with yoga is that it is only for a certain only certain group of people. In reality that is the complete opposite, yoga is for everybody.

Yoga is a form of movement meditation, focusing on the practice of your breath. Flowing through different postures and poses to find balance. My practice of yoga helps yoga, helps to guide my mind and body to a state of calm. Also the slow movements of yoga helps to regulate your blood flow and build strength in your muscles.

Yoga makes your body and mind work together, focusing on the breath work helps me to understand my body more. In this ever changing world it is important to stay connected to yourself, your values, and what your body needs. Yoga helps me do all of that and it also helps me to create more balance in my life. While the practice of yoga is something that is special to myself, it is also something that is very unique because it is very personalized. Personalizing it in the certain moves you do, but also what the intentions are behind it.

I truly believe that Yoga is for every person and every body. Yoga helps to cultivate balance, power, confidence and strength. Yoga can help you in many ways.
