From January 1st to December 31 there were many lessons learned, many friendships made or broken, people coming in or out, but one thing I always reminded myself of; things happen for a reason. Time is valuable and should never be taken for granted. When I went on spring break I found myself reading more than ever, feeling the stress lifted off of my shoulders, and most importantly focusing on myself. Throughout the remainder of the school year I felt the stress pile back on but I kept telling myself that in time everything will make sense. Once summer vacation rolled around I found myself gaining new habits. I started working out more than ever, taking care of my skin and body and surrounding myself with people who care for me. I carried these things into the new school year. Not everything will go according to plan especially when you’re a senior in high school. Things take time and it doesn’t matter how much time it takes just don’t rush things. If you are healing from something, trying to find yourself, going through something, or even simply waiting on a sign it’ll take time.
